Why we sequence everything
Most people who call me have a list. A tired roof, cracked stucco, a kitchen that has been "next year" for six years. And at least one contractor has already told them to just start wherever.
I spent my career running production. First on a manufacturing floor, then over twenty million dollars a year of roofing. The lesson was the same in both places: the order you build in decides how much you waste.
So here is my promise. I will walk your house with you, tell you what to do first and what can wait, and hand you one plan with one person responsible for it. Me.

The path here
From the plant floor to your front door
The floor
Started on a manufacturing floor. Learned the first rule of production: sequence decides cost.
VP of Production
Ran the plant. Learned how to make a few hundred people hit one schedule without cutting a corner.
The restart
Walked away from the title and started over as a construction project manager. Took the pay cut. Learned the trades from the mud up.
VP of Production, roofing
Oversaw $20 million a year of residential and commercial roofing for one of the largest roofers in the state.

About Sonoran
Who is actually on my job?
Dustin Downs holds the license and sets the sequence. One crew chief is on site every day and is your single point of contact. Trade crews are ours or long-term partners we have run jobs with for years.
Do you pull permits?
Yes, under ROC 368140. Re-roofs, window changes, and any structural, plumbing or electrical work in a kitchen or bath are permitted and inspected. The permit cost is in your estimate, not a surprise later.
Can you do just one trade?
Yes. Most clients start with a single project, usually the roof. The order of operations still matters: we tell you what the one job affects so your next project does not undo this one.
What does a general contractor in Scottsdale do?
A general contractor holds the license, pulls the permits, hires and schedules the trades, and answers for the finished work. Sonoran Building Solutions is a licensed Arizona general contractor, ROC 368140, covering roofing, stucco, windows, paint, kitchens, baths and flooring under one license.
